SHEQ INTERNSHIP

OVERVIEW

As a SHEQ Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting the Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) department.

Your responsibilities will primarily focus on administrative tasks, data management, and assisting in organising training events. Additionally, you will be involved in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and incident investigation procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Administrative Duties

Collecting and organising data related to safety, health, environment, and quality.
Managing documentation both electronically and in hard copy format.
Assisting in maintaining filing systems for easy retrieval of information.

Data Collection and Analysis

Capturing and analysing statistics related to safety incidents, accidents, and near misses.
Assisting in conducting risk assessments and contributing to risk analysis processes.

Training Event Coordination

Assisting in the planning and organisation of both internal and external training events related to SHEQ topics.
Coordinating logistics, scheduling, and participant registration for training sessions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements

Diploma in Safety Management/ degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
Knowledge of the OHS Act & Regulations.
Knowledge of Incident and Accident Investigation and Risk Analysis

Advantageous Qualifications

NEBOSH General International Certificate
SAMTRAC
Knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 or similar Occupational health and safety management systems
Knowledge of SHEQ auditing processes
