    Description

    Job Title: Cost and Management Accountant

    We are seeking a highly skilled Cost and Management Accountant to join our client's team based in the Durban area. The ideal candidate will have a CIMA qualification and be responsible for ensuring precise product costing, determining gross profit per stock item, and maintaining overall stock accuracy.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain accurate costing models for all products.
    • Analyze gross profit margins per stock item and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Oversee and manage inventory costing, valuation, and stock reconciliation.
    • Design and implement systems for improved costing, reporting, and performance tracking.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights and recommendations for operational efficiency.
    • Prepare detailed financial reports and dashboards for management decision-making.

    Requirements:

    • CIMA qualification or equivalent finance qualification.
    • Proven experience in cost and management accounting, preferably in the food industry.
    • Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Ability to design and implement effective accounting and operational systems.
    • Innovative thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems matrix ideally.
