Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor - Cape Town, South Africa - Orlichem

Description

We are looking for an experienced warehouse and logistics supervisor to manage and oversee all warehouse activities, ensure efficient processes, maximize warehouse productivity and oversee all deliveries from the site.

Responsibilities

• Supervising warehouse staff and daily activities.
• Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
• Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds.
• Coordinating and maintaining fleets and equipment.
• Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers.
• Handing the full function of warehouse Picking, Packing & loading procedure.
• Preparing the Trip sheets, Tonnage, and Tremcards for the drivers every evening.
• Loading trucks check procedure afternoons to ensure an early departure in the mornings
• Loading trucks check procedure mornings final checks are done to accommodate for any lastminute changes.
• Handling warehouse, Drivers, and cleaning staff.
• Handling bulk orders. Preparation, delivery, and admin functions.
• Receiving stock for manufacturing procedure.
• Returns Procedure & Lab process for returns and testing.
• Handling the full function of the recycling procedure.
• Cartrack reports & Cartrack report from Accounts (reconcile and report to accounts).
• Lock up and open procedures.

Required:

• Must be very strong in administration, timekeeping, and stock control and have the ability to report back to management.
• Must be computer literate and have a sound knowledge of Microsoft 36
• Health & Safety, Spills (Chemical), Hyster, fire marshal, Code 10 (with PDP) training.
• Good communication skills.
• Sound understanding of procedures for receiving stock from suppliers.
• Experience using CarTrack and CarTrack Reporting.

Beneficial:

• Experience working with Sage X3.

Language:

• English (required)

License/Certification:

• Code 10 Drivers license (with PDP) (preferred)
