    The Service Intern will work closely with the service team to support various aspects of service operations.     Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Assist in Service Operations: Support the service team in day-to-day operations, including but not limited to repairs, maintenance, and customer service.
    • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work orders, service reports, and customer feedback. Prepare periodic reports summarizing service activities and performance metrics.
    • Customer Interaction: Interact with customers to understand their service requirements, provide assistance, and ensure customer satisfaction. Handle inquiries, schedule appointments, and follow up on service requests.
    • Technical Support: Assist technicians in troubleshooting issues, utilising diagnostic equipment, and performing repairs as directed by supervisors.
    • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality control processes to ensure service standards are met or exceeded. Conduct inspections and checks to identify and rectify any deviations from quality standards.
    • Process Improvement: Contribute ideas and suggestions for improving service processes, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Work collaboratively with team members to implement identified improvements.
    • Training and Development: Actively engage in training sessions and on-the-job learning opportunities to enhance technical skills, product knowledge, and overall professional development.
    Qualifications and Requirements:
    • Completed Matric/Grade12 (Certificate Required)
    • Qualifications in Metrology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Strong interest in gaining practical experience in the service and maintenance of equipment.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills, with the ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and customers.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Valid driver's license is a must.
