    Description

    The Production Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the production process, ensuring seamless operations and minimal downtime. Key responsibilities include implementing new production processes, technologies, and managing factory operations to meet daily targets while maintaining exceptional quality.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Process Development: Develop, evaluate, and improve current manufacturing processes for increased efficiency and productivity.
    • Cost Optimization: Drive initiatives to reduce costs and optimize resource allocation.
    • Collaboration and Improvement: Liaise with Management to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancements within the department.
    • Quality Control and Reporting: Issue and report each battery produced on the SAP system, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
    • Training and Development: Ensure that new employees are properly trained, and refresher training is conducted annually or as needed due to changes or amendments to existing models.
    • Staff Management: Organize, monitor, and control staff and overtime, manage overtime request processes, and direct the production team effectively.
    • Capacity Planning: Optimize capacity planning and processes to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
    • Team Safety: Ensure the safety of all staff members in the production facility, adhering to the OHS act at all times and fostering a culture of safety within the team.
    • Standard Operating Procedures: Implement standard operating procedures for production to ensure consistency and efficiency.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree (Matric)
    • NQF Level 6 diploma / Advanced certificate
    • 5-8 years of production experience at management level
    • A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high-quality work
