Location :
Remote and one day per week office bound
Basic Salary :
R15,000 p.m. plus negotiable capped travel and phone allowances
Commission:
- 0% of income* if annualised income generated is < R180k
- 30% of income* if annualised income generated is R180k 40% of income* if annualised income generated is R250k 50% of income* if annualised income generated is R400k
Our client is looking to add to their Sales team with the appointment of an experienced Short Term Insurance Sales Consultant.
Lead generation and conversion to a successful sale, while ensuring that attractive and appropriate advice is given, is the foundation of the job.
A sales consultant must be passionate about sales, clients, networking and closing deals.Non negotiables for consideration:

Worked with at least two of the following insurer products and have in depth technical knowledge of Discovery, Momentum and Santam
- Computer literate (Microsoft, Google Suite)
A minimum of 3 years' work experience in short term insurance with daily client contact and sales activity:
Valid code B driver's licence and own vehicle- UPDATED CV
- RE 5 exam certificate
- Relevant class of business training certificates
- Relevant product training certificates
- DOFA (date of first appointment from the FSCA)
- Matric certificate
- Any other qualifications
Key Tasks and Responsibilities - Sales
- Build an insurance portfolio
- Driving a sales culture
- Render financial services as a Representative (i.t.o. FAIS)
- Conduct comprehensive risk evaluation, needs assessment and propose insurance solutions
- Gaining and maintaining industry, insurer and insurance product knowledge
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients and insurers
- Collaboration with insurers during the sales process
- Prospecting and generation of new leads
- Generation of crossselling and upselling leads on existing clients
- Creation of new client networks and mining of existing networks
- Lead generation development and innovation
- Articulation and presentation of client value proposition
- Drafting and maintaining sales aids and marketing material
- Log sales activity on CRM (client relationship management)
- Drive and chair the weekly sales meeting
- Report on sales activity
- Meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Postsale client satisfaction monitoring
- Handover of successful sales to a servicing consultant for onboarding and overseeing onboarding workflow to completion
- Overall accountability and responsibility for sales and new business growth
- Maintaining a fit and proper status in terms of FAIS
- Comply with the regulatory provisions and requirements of FAIS
- Adhering to internal policies and procedures
- Continuous professional development
