Introduction

Role Purpose


To support the CEO of Consult in achieving business objectives by leading the development and implementation of a robust business model, financial model, business structure and operations strategy and architecture (including product house engagement, marketing, information technology, Business insights, Operations and Finance) that manages sales target achievement, service delivery and operations within Consult and Momentum in a manner that supports the business delivery on its strategic objectives.


Requirements:


  • A minimum of a Bdegree with a post graduate qualification a definite advantage. Post Graduate Qualification in Commerce or Business Management
  • MBA will be an advantage
Years' experience in the financial services industry
years' experience at operational management level

  • Proven experience as Head Operations or relevant role
  • Understanding of business functions

Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee the management of operations to support Consult business strategy

(Internal Process) -

  • Support CEO of Consult in the daily running of the business, while enabling processes, systems and business architecture in achieving long term sustainable profitability
  • Contribute to the leveraging of operational capabilities across Advice ecosystem.
  • In collaboration and alignment with COO of Momentum Advice, provide the strategic direction and oversight for the operations function in line within Consult business requirements.
  • Delivery of Consult strategic projects, participate and provide input to relevant Momentum strategic projects.
  • Develop business and operational strategies to support the business in accomplishing goals and objectives.
  • Provide the strategic direction and oversight for the operations function in line with the business objectives
  • Lead the Head of BI to enable effective reporting, analysis and insight regarding business performance and progress.
  • Enable operational excellence within the planner engagement function in ensuring that planners experience optimal enablement and service delivery
  • Lead, Develop, implement agreed operating models to support overall business objectives
  • Drive business optimisation initiatives to ensure cost effective operating structures, maximum efficiency levels, reduction in waste in all respects and strengthening of operating systems.
  • Implement sales activity management tools and processes in collaboration with the sales function.
  • Lead the design and maintenance of operational activities in Consult, guide decision making and prioritisation and provide guidance on improvement of projects and initiatives.
  • Lead and enable interface between Operations, Marketing, DTS, Finance, Workforce Operations and various other functions to ensure effective management of interdependencies and handover from projects into execution.
  • Provide strategic direction and lead the implementation of technology enablers to optimise business performance and increase efficiencies.
  • Enable system functioning to enhance compliance with all legal, governance, policies, procedures, standards and sound business practice.
  • Represent Consult on relevant Momentum forums.
  • Enable implementation of effective risk management
  • Fulfil leadership role as member of Exco, through maintaining an understanding of issues affecting overall business effectiveness and collaborating towards setting strategic direction.
  • Optimise strategies and proactively adapt processes and procedures to ensure optimal utilisation of resources to meet Service Level Agreement requirements
  • Plan, implement, manage and report on cost effectiveness and communicate or escalate any variables.

Enable client centricity within area of responsibility

(Client Operations Execution) -

  • Implement demand generation and digital marketing technologies to grow the Consult client base.
  • Ensure Consult deliver on adviser experience through value propositions in terms of processes and procedures
  • Provide authoritative expertise and advice to Consult Exco and stakeholders on how to improve adviser experience and engagement
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal (Consult Exco, Product House, Momentum Advice Exco, MFP Exco) and external stakeholders
  • Create partnerships with relevant stakeholders to understand business priorities and requirements.
  • Develop and implement service level agreements and standards across all touch points in order to ensure that all stakeholders receive clear and accurate information and are kept informed at all times
