  • Salary R R per annumA well known PET food manufacturing company based in JHB North is looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist / Brand Manager.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE


This position is a multidisciplinary role, that incorporates consumer insights in marketing and product introductions decisions that allows effective through-the-line execution with a heavy focus on digital marketing.

It is a collaborative role that requires creativity, excellent communication skills, project management, ability to work on multiple campaigns simultaneously and a passion for building the best digital marketing and eComm channel.


TASK DESCRIPTION
Digital Marketing and eCommerce

  • Maintaining social media presence across all digital channels
  • Create consumer database and development of consumer retention initiatives
  • Analise and provide recommendations/ data insights from:
  • SEO and Google Analytics
  • Social media platforms growth and campaign performance
- eCommerce channel store performance

  • Maintain social media platforms and engagement, drive brand awareness and foster engagement through unexpected and surprising conversations. Monitor and manage influencers and related campaigns and develop loyal consumer database.
  • Manage product portfolio, with the Product Lifecycle Management Specialist, across all eCommerce platforms to maximise growth from the channel
  • Support implementation of bundledeal and other promotions and develop strategies to generate interest in bundle / promo products, in order to drive sales
  • Ensure the delivery and management of content, product information and daytoday management of the website
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
  • Evaluate endtoend consumer experience across multiple channels and consumer touch points
  • Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where Appropriate Brand Management
  • Input into the marketing strategy and development in annual brand plan as well as integrated activity calendar
  • Own the marketing calendar and work with relevant parties to align and execute activities.
  • Collecting, analysing and reporting on campaign performance and product launch ROI
  • Insights and proposition development for existing and new product launches
  • Ensure brand consistency across all collateral created (digital and print)
  • Review of product portfolio to ensure the right product mix to meet consumers total pet care needs and identify opportunities for new product introductions to grow the brand volume share.
  • Develop and manage the implementation of the integrated activity calendar across digital and formal channels, coordinate with PLM & KAMs, KPI tracking and reporting.
  • Development of consumer insights and translation into propositions for brand, product categories and future new products to ensure a commercially exploitable opportunity.
  • Refine consumer profiles and adapted communication based on market opportunities.
  • Brief in research requirements based on brand gaps, equity, product and category U&A and new product proposition development.
  • Deep understanding of NPD stage and gate processes, business case and P&L development.
  • Understand, review and development of the consumer experience across online and offline channels, and touchpoints to develop step change initiatives for continuous improvement in identified metrics.
  • Manage marketing budget and optimising spend to ensure alignment with target consumer profiles and identified metrics. Support in trade marketing development
  • Support KAMs and Consumer Advocacy Manager in the development of trade marketing plans
  • Understands market dynamics / consumer insights by channel to participate on trade marketing strategic decisions
  • Competitor commercial activity review in the category for detecting business opportunities and potential threats for the brand

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • A tertiary qualification in Marketing or equivalent is essential
  • 35 years' experience in a similar role at a retail environment
  • Demonstrable experience in integrated brand and marketing campaigns across all consumer touchpoints (from SEO/SEM, social media and/or display advertising campaigns, POS, Print, Radio, OOH and eCommerce)
  • Proven working experience in brand management and digital/ social marketing (SEO, Google Analytics, content creation, paid online media)
  • Insights and proposition development experience and exposure to consumer research (quantitative & qualitative)
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying and developing business objective into consumer relevant integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Creative approach to data analytics and strong business acumen
