Opportunity Available Our leading client in the Automotive Sector is looking to employ an Assistant Data Communications Manager to join their dynamic team in Johannesburg.


  • Develop the Local Connected Strategy in South Africa with primary focus on the G-DCM project.
  • Daytoday programme management of the G-DCM project for the company.
  • Planning and execution of the operational workflows of G-DCM project including project schedule and stakeholder management.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders to establish and drive common understanding in terms of project(s) direction.
  • Communicate standard requirements to supplier in line with specifications.
  • Monitor and communicate deviances and employ mitigating measures to keep project in line with specifications.
  • Be an integral part of the delivery of technology and digitisation initiatives for the various departments and the dealer network.
  • Create and maintain an environment that encourages collaboration and alignment between various divisions in the Manufacturing as well as the Sales & Marketing Group.

  • Demonstrate critical thinking and problemsolving skills.
  • Demonstrate strong skills in developing presentations for new strategy and business model implementation.

Connected/MaaS service planning, business development and sales:

  • Execute the service planning/operating in DCM (communication device for vehicle) introduction project as project member.
  • Understand customer needs, and planning/design of services and businesses in the connected and mobility fields.
  • Planning My company APP and One development with the introduction of G-DCM to ensure system readiness for Guests, Dealers and internal staff of the company
  • Develop the departmental strategic direction, regional connected strategy in Africa and implementation plan from a business perspective.

Job Requirements:


  • NQF 5 level qualification (240 credits level 8 framework) in Engineering, B Com, Business Sciences
  • 35 years working in a project management and sales role
  • Business experience with the theme of solving social issues
  • Basic sales and planning skillset
  • Have IT literacy and experience in IT utilization
