Description

A digital bank with a strong entrepreneurial identity and a high-performance culture is looking for a HR Business Partner, who will cover the full employee lifecycle, including, talent acquisition, onboarding, employee development, retention, succession planning, rewards and recognition through to employees exiting the business.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, NOT LIMITED TO:
HR Partner

  • Work with the leadership team to transform business priorities into an HR agenda
  • Design, build and implement innovative and relevant initiatives related to human resources, change management, talent management and performance evaluation and reward and recognition
  • Provide strategic business partnership and coaching to all employees in relevant business areas to positively impact the motivation, development, and retention of talent
  • Work with the Head of People to build out HR programmes and policies that do not exist yet, but which will be important, as we scale
  • Serve as the point of contact for employees navigating the variety of goals and challenges that impact their work experience.
  • Actively identify gaps, and deploy impactful people strategies that enable the organization to perform effectively, and scale efficiently as it grows
  • Work with teams and leaders on change management, performance management and talent management initiatives.

Recruitment

  • Manage and control 3rd party placements and monitor permanent employment requirements.
  • Maintain an accurate recruitment database, while organising all placement fees with consultants and maintaining contact with external consultants.
Onboarding and off-boarding

  • Help employees with any pertinent questions about policies and procedures, supporting various processes of the employee lifecycle: sick leave, annual leave, maternity and paternity leave, offboarding and more.
  • Manage all onboarding admin related processes endtoend, including relocation when required, making sure every new employee feels supported and welcome.
  • Build relationships: collaborate with other functional areas (IT, Sales, Legal, Finance, etc.) and external stakeholders to ensure we are collaboratively working to grow and support our people and organisation
Employment / Industrial Relations

  • Consult with employees and managers to address root causes of engagement and development issues; resolve employee relations issues with a systematic approach
  • Implement and champion HR best practices and ensure compliance in relation to all aspects of employment
  • Conduct reviews of employment policies to ensure they are aligned to the company's objectives and compliant with local labour law
  • Collaborate with globally distributed team to build and implement crossfunctional HR programs and initiatives.
  • Positively collaborate across peer groups to optimize the acquisition, integration and development of the company's talent to achieve company goals
  • Serve as an HR, BC and Labour Law advisor to the business
HR Reporting & Payroll

  • Assist with preparing for twiceweekly company meetings including strategy and business focus meetings
  • Development, preparation and reporting on HR metrics for all areas of business
  • Leave management: process leave requests and manage conversations on use of benefits
  • Contribute and own other key projects or duties when required
  • Assist in ensuring that the organisation's compensation and benefits policies, including short term incentive plans (STIP) are implemented.
  • Assist with the implementation and improvement of compensation, benefits and administration systems
Performance Management

  • Assist with the development and implementation of a performance evaluation system
  • Assist with the rollout the performance appraisal system and to facilitate and maintain the planned quarterly evaluation process
  • Ensure that the performance management system is applied fairly, consistently and correctly.

REQUIREMENTS:


Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree (HRM / IOP / Business Management)
  • 3 4 years relevant experience managing the full recruitment cycle as a business partner
  • Experience managing ER cases
  • Excellent project management, coordination and planning capabilities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to understand business goals, policies and procedures
  • Strong focus on customer/customer experience

What would be a bonus:

  • HPCSA accreditation
  • Fintech experience would be beneficial, but not compulsory
