Description

The ideal incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Housekeeping

Manage the team with regards to productivity and time management

Prevent and manage shrinkage and damages

Manage logistics in warehousing and manage expenses in the department e.g., overtime

Manage implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Act

Managing the Food safety Audit program

Utilise the prescribed system to draw reports

Manage staff and welfare of members

Manage stock control and inventory function including stocktake preparation

Enforce safety and housekeeping programme on an ongoing basis

Leverage Great Plains reporting in order to control branch logístical functions

Daily cycle counts done

Conduct disciplinary investigations - issue warnings

Must be willing to work overtime when needed

Qualification:

Matric

Diploma / Certificate Logistics / Operations / Distribution / Warehouse Management will be highly adv

Computer Literate MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

2- 3 Years' experience in a FMCG or food environment adv

Understanding of the supply chain from buying, selling to distribution

Extensive knowledge of occupational health & safety within the warehousing environment

Attributes:

Very good communication skills and ability to plan well

Ability to coach employees to work more efficiently and have the capacity to manage people dynamics

Strong administrative skills
