Description

Well-established company based in Somerset West has a vacancy for a Procurement Officer with a minimum of five years relevant experience to join their team.

Requirements:

Certificate or Diploma in Procurement or Strategic Sourcing
Strong Sage Evolution experience ESSENTIAL
Working in a highly complex environment
Valid drivers license

Duties will include but not limited to:

Procurement of spare parts, accessories, consumables on a national and international level
Develop sourcing strategies (supplier development, minimize sole sourcing, price increases below inflation, safety stock holding at suppliers, competitive payment terms etc.)
Responsible for a weekly download from Evolution and preparing an ordering excel file initially until Evolution can be developed.
Expediting of outstanding orders and networking with suppliers to ensure excellent service levels.
Review of minimum stock levels against demand patterns quarterly.
