RJ45 Networking Solutions is an established IT company based in Northgate Business Park, Paarden Eiland.

We are seeking an experienced IT Technician looking for a long-term position and the opportunity for growth and development. The role entails commitment to projects and ownership of processes from start to finish.

While this post is office based, you will be required to go to clients' premises to service SLA agreements, with the possibility of being posted onsite at a client, as and when required.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluation and selection of suitable technology to support the system/client objectives
• Ensure monitoring, alerting and logging in operational systems and infrastructure
• Provide support across multiple platforms, from desktop support and or server support to cloud
• In charge of handling remote support and the support desk for clients
• Daily and weekly reporting to senior managers on progress for projects on hand
• Commitment to continuous growth in the IT field, learn about and possibly introduce new technologies
• Ensure monitoring, alerting and logging in operation systems and infrastructure

Qualifications | Requirements

• At least 3 years' experience in desktop support, mainly Microsoft product suite
• A good understanding of technical infrastructure (databases, operating systems, servers, networks)
• Must be able to troubleshoot network connectivity issues and assist in troubleshooting of external network connections
• Have experience in setting up and troubleshooting internet connectivity basic setup of client routers for connectivity
• Good communication and written skills
• Ability to take control of projects, operations, and the ability to multitask

Advantage/s:

• Have exposure to cloud technologies, migration and setup in Azure
• Experience and or exposure to Office365 and migration
• Firewall experience, or understanding of firewalls
• Fortinet products specifically
