    Description

    Role Summary

    The Group Financial Manager is a critical position within our organization, responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of the Automotive sector client in Sandton.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Cash Flow Forecasting:
      • Accurate and timely reporting on cash flow forecast to mitigate potential risks
      • Analysis of variances between forecast and actual cash flow to inform strategic decisions
    • Foreign Procurement Reconciliation:
      • Reconciliation of foreign suppliers to ensure accuracy and compliance
      • Reconciliation of foreign exchange variances to prevent losses
      • Verification of foreign purchases against supporting documentation to prevent discrepancies
    • Budgeting and Forecasting:
      • Overseeing the annual budgeting process, including rolling budgets and forecasts to ensure alignment with business objectives
    • Operational Support:
      • Providing support to the Group CFO and operational finance team as required to ensure seamless day-to-day operations

    Desired Experience and Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Financial Accounting or similar field
    • Minimum 2-3 years of commercial experience, with a strong background in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis
    • Advanced Excel skills, with proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis
    • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to distill complex financial concepts into clear, concise insights
    • Strategic mindset to identify opportunities and mitigate risks, with attention to detail and accuracy
    • Experience with foreign creditors and foreign exchange is advantageous
    • Up-to-date knowledge of full IFRS is advantageous
    • Ability to work under pressure, as a self-motivated individual, and in a team environment
