    Description

    Design Engineer Role

    We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to contribute to the design of innovative products.

    To be successful in this position, you should have extensive experience in Electrical substations, Lines, and Electrification, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

    This role requires effective project management skills to meet daily demands and work closely with clients and colleagues.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Developing design briefs in collaboration with clients and team members
    • Applying mathematical knowledge to design solutions
    • Evaluating design feasibility and cost-effectiveness
    • Assessing usability, environmental impact, and safety of designs
    • Creatings prototypes using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE) software
    • Analysing data from prototype tests
    • Refining designs through iterative testing and modification
    • Overseeing the development process, including progress tracking and client communication

    Desired Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering
    • ECSA registration as a professional engineer or technologist

    Work Arrangements

    The majority of working hours will be during 9.00am to 5.00pm, although longer hours may be required around project deadlines.

    Travel may be necessary to meet clients.
