Description

An Operations Supervisor is required to supervise garden and vegetation maintenance service activities at various facilities (such as commercial, gated estates, municipalities, community and private parks, and government facilities) in accordance with vegetation management and maintenance techniques, safety protocols and standard operating procedures.


Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing projects, coaching and guiding a team of experts, as well as managing resources, equipment and inventory to provide garden service/ landscaping/ horticultural services to our diverse clients.

You will also be responsible for the full admin and reporting function, liaising with clients, monitoring productivity, performance and quality of all work while ensuring the highest safety standards are adhered to.

- plan work, develop work schedule with targets to execute scope within required timeframes.
- determine resources required as well as allocate resources as per schedule;
- transport a team and equipment with a trailer to respective site/facilities
- manage a team, resources and inventory to deliver on set targets
- allocate and communicate targets to team leaders;
- communicate progress to management;
- liaise with clients to plan work, attend to queries, requests and complaints;
- adjust work schedule as required to accommodate any risks, delays and changes to ensure targets are met;
- order, manage and provide inventory, tools and machinery
- liaise with the client to signoff on completed work
- manage signing of attendance register,
- take before and after pictures for the work;
- ensure high levels of productivity are maintained;
- ensure high levels of quality are met;
- ensure safety protocols are adhered to, at all the time, including wearing of PPE
- communicate job expectations to the team;
- manage the team's administrative functions such as performance management, late coming, absenteeism and disciplinary in line with the Company policies;
- execute disciplinary including completion of warning forms
- manage team leader's performance and conduct in line with Company policies and procedure;
- manage the teams and individual performance including counselling and notifying manager of performance concerns;
- manage tools, materials, machinery and prevent wastage and damage;
- coordinate maintenance of machinery and tools with the workshop;
- complete incident reports
- comply with all the lawful and responsible instructions given to you by the Company;
- generally, use your best endeavors to conduct, administer, improve, extend, develop and protect the business of the Company and preserve its reputation and goodwill; adhere and promote the Companies Values and Code of Conducts.
