    About the Admin Assistant Role

    The Admin Assistant position is part of the YES Programme, a work experience initiative aimed at providing opportunities to individuals who have never worked before.

    This role involves a variety of tasks, including handling invoicing using Sage software, managing stock and inventory, answering phone calls, and submitting quotes in a timely manner.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Process invoices using Sage software.
    • Manage and maintain accurate stock and inventory records.
    • Answer phone calls and direct them to the relevant personnel or take messages.
    • Submit quotes to clients in a prompt and professional manner.
    • Search online for job opportunities and other resources that may benefit the organization.
    • File documents electronically, ensuring all paperwork is up to date and organized.
    • Maintain the company's social media presence by updating accounts and creating engaging content.
    • Take photographs at various sites for documentation and marketing purposes.

    Requirements

    • Matric certification.
    • A willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Familiarity with social media platforms is an asset.
    • Detailed and accurate, with a focus on quality in all aspects of work.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is a plus.
    • South African unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
    • Previous participation in the YES Program is not permitted.
