Account Manager Position

Purpose of the Position
The main purpose of this position is to manage relationships and interactions with allocated customers, promoting an excellent customer experience through effective administration of customer accounts, contributing to customer retention and growth within this innovative organization.
Qualifications and Skills
A Matric Grade 12 certificate
A degree or diploma in Sales & Marketing (advantageous)
A minimum of 3 years of experience in an account management position in a related industry (logistics), Business to Business
Intermediate level proficiency in MS Suite
A valid driver's license is essential
Job Role and Responsibilities
Manage the relationship with allocated customers to ensure retention and growth.
Promote excellent customer experiences by implementing products/services, resolving queries, and maintaining continuous communication.
Conduct regular face-to-face visits with customers and adhere to monthly/quarterly customer visitation/contact plans, ensuring all allocated customers are visited/contacted within each quarter.
Organize and attend meetings with customers, record meeting minutes, and follow up on outstanding matters.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all customer account matters.
BUILD AND MAINTAIN STRONG, LONG-LASTING CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS
Negotiate contracts and close agreements.
Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executives.
Identify potential growth opportunities within allocated customers and increase revenue within the base.
Manage and upgrade contracts to ensure their implementation.
Keep customers informed about new services and/or changes to current services.
Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
Prepare reports on account status.
Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
Verify that all required services are billed monthly, check customer invoices and statements.
Manage Service Levels between the customer and the company.
Depending on experience and qualifications, tools of the trade, and commission will be provided.
