Live in position, 6 days a week, 24hr emergency stand-by

Experience of 10 years or more as a building supervisor - non negotiable

Applicants must supply:
Most recent credit report, Traceable references and a police clearance certificate.

Salary quoted excludes accommodation, electricity and water which form part of the remuneration package.


Job description:

Supervision of Maintenance and Repairs:

  • Schedule and oversee regular maintenance tasks such as, cleaning / security.
  • Coordinate repairs with contractors or in house maintenance staff for plumbing, electrical, structural or any other related issue.
  • Ensure that maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Building Security:


  • Implement and enforce security protocols to protect the building and its occupants.
  • Monitor security systems such as alarms, surveillance cameras and access control system.
  • Respond to security incidents and emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement if necessary.

Tenant Relations:


  • Serve as a main point of contact for the tenants regarding building related issues.
  • Address tenant complaints, concerns and requests promptly and effectively.
  • Communicate important information to tenants, such as building policies, maintenance schedules and emergency procedures.

Health & Safety Compliance:


  • Ensure that the building complies with health and safety regulations, building codes and zoning laws.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and to ensure a safe environment for occupants.
  • Implement safety procedures and protocols including emergency evacuation plans.
  • Supervise vendor work to ensure that it meets the buildings requirements and specifications.

Building Inspection and Records:


  • Coordinate and schedule inspections by local authorities, fire department or other regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain accurate record of inspections, maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Ensure that the building meets all necessary certification and permits.

Emergency Response and Preparedness:


  • Develop and implement emergency response plans for fires, natural disasters or other crises.
  • Conduct regular drills and training sessions for building staff and occupants.

General Administration:


  • Maintain accurate records of tenant agreements and building documentation.
  • Prepare and distribute communication such as newsletters, memo's and announcements.
