Key Role Purpose

To provide financial leadership and operational oversight for South African revenue management, commercial governance, and global reporting compliance, ensuring alignment between local business priorities and global standards. This role will enable innovation by creating scalable frameworks for revenue activation, tracking, and reporting across diverse service lines.

Key Accountabilities

South African Commercial Management: Oversee accurate capture, billing, and reporting of all South African revenue streams. Ensure revenue is correctly managed and tracked.
Global Reporting & Compliance: Deliver accurate and timely financial reports to global stakeholders. Ensure compliance with reporting standards.
Business Case Management: Manage submissions and approvals for new revenue opportunities within South Africa. Partner with growth and strategy teams to validate financial viability of innovation initiatives.
Revenue Activation & Operational Administration: Implement processes for accurate setup and capture of new revenue streams in finance systems. Create and maintain finance system codes, billing structures, and activation workflows.
Commercial Governance & Accountability: Develop frameworks to hold teams accountable for revenue contributions and commercial KPIs. Drive adherence to processes across finance, buying, strategy, and activation teams.
Strategic Alignment & Priority Management: Support business priority alignment to enable innovation and transformation. Ensure plans are activated, tracked, and reported accurately and on time.

Skills & Capabilities

Financial Expertise: Strong knowledge of commercial finance, revenue management, and global reporting standards.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of digital, creative, media, and technology-driven advertising models.
Process Orientation: Ability to design and implement scalable frameworks and governance structures.
Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail with strong data analysis and reporting skills.
Leadership & Influence: Assertive, solutions-oriented, and confident in managing cross-functional accountability.
Change Management: Skilled in driving alignment and adoption of new processes across diverse teams.
Communication: Clear and persuasive communicator, able to navigate conflict and build consensus.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Accuracy & Timeliness: 100% compliance with global reporting deadlines and compliance requirements.
Revenue Capture: All South African revenue streams activated and correctly captured in finance systems within agreed timelines.
Process Compliance: Measurable adherence to activation and billing processes across teams.
Business Case Turnaround: Reduction in approval cycle time for new revenue initiatives.
Commercial Accountability: Quarterly reporting on team contributions to revenue targets and commercial goals.
Innovation Enablement: Successful implementation of frameworks supporting new product/service monetization.
