Job Summary:

Will manage a team of 10 permanent employees and up to 10 contractors.

Duties will include supervision, delegating tasks, assigning roles and responsibilities, Client and SETA liaison, SETA duties, implementing learnerships from beginning to end, managing rosters and project data, reporting to directors and the overall management of the team.


Minimum requirements:

  • Ability to evaluate and research training options, SETA information, solutions and alternatives.
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
  • Ability to work with type red personalities.
  • Knowledge of SETAs and learnership processes from beginning to end
  • Outstanding managerial skills
  • Great team leader
  • Proficiency in MS Office and database software
  • Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration and teamwork

Duties will be, but are not limited to:

  • Based on research, plan and implement training programs that will prepare employees for the next step of their career paths
  • Evaluate employees and identify weaknesses
  • Lead, onboard and evaluate new trainers and hand over between trainers
  • Make other trainers' schedules and manager projects training roster and planner
  • Oversee employee attendance and performance
  • Manager and oversee project progress
  • Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding and disciplinary procedures
  • Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations
  • Develop documents to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities
  • Create a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and keeps the strategy up to date
  • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and brings them to resolution
  • Ensure the organization's compliance with local, state and federal regulations
  • Use performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to team
  • Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently
  • Maintain company organization charts and employee directory
  • Ensure offices is compliant with the OHSAct
  • Maintain HR systems and processes
  • Conduct performance and salary reviews
  • Provide support and guidance to staff
  • Design and implement employee retention strategies
  • Ability to lead a full cycle from learnership implementation to exiting (recruitment, SETA engagements, scheduling assessors, tracking progress, external moderation, certification)
