JOB DESCRIPTION

SITE MANAGER
At least - 5 years' experience in wet plant cleaning or FMCG environment

Understanding of micro /ATP swabs and conducting root cause analysis.

Good understanding and experience in chemical handling and verifications.

Train and leading a team. Must be able to work under pressure and independently.

Must be open, honest, and initiate problem solving with different cultures.

Must be able to handle conflict and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Must be able to conduct investigations relating to incidents and issuing of disciplinary warnings.

Must be able to present audits as this will be very important to our client.

Attention to detail and organized filing of documentation.

Ordering and monitoring of stock.

Excellent communication skills and strive to build a business relationship with our client.

Excellent knowledge of ISO food management systems


RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES OF SITE MANAGER

Support of Human Resources Department

Note that in our organization, although we have an HR Manager we are not large enough to have HR personnel on site to deliver/administer personnel policies and records, training and development, performance appraisals and performance problems, career counselling, organization development, etc.

Personnel Policies and Procedures

The manager is usually responsible to ensure that employees follow the organization's policies and procedures, e.g., for sick time, personal leave, overtime, confidentiality about organization information, etc.

Concurrently, the manager must follow policies and procedures for carrying out managers responsibilities.


Employee Training and Development
Manager ensure new employees are oriented to the site, its policies & Procedures, facilities, etc.

They execute the training plans with employees to ensure employees are competent and have the necessary expertise to carry out their jobs.

They provide ongoing guidance to employees, often in the forms of ongoing coaching and counselling.


Employee Performance Management
Managers ensure that job descriptions accurately record the primary responsibilities, and terms for each job role in their group. They set performance standards for tasks, jobs and roles of their employees. They ensure employees have appropriate and realistic job goals. They provide ongoing feedback about the employee's performance.

They conduct performance appraisals on a regular basis, including assessing how the employee has performed and what they can do to improve in their jobs.

You develop performance improvement plans if an employee's performance is not adequate. In addition, managers provide positive feedback and recognition/rewards for employee accomplishments/ success.

DUTIES
*Manage all cleaning staff on site
*Train all new staff and reassess training for all cleaners after every 6 months
*Manage, issue, dilute and verify concentrations of cleaning chemicals on site
*Conduct admin work on site
*Attend to client concerns and requests
*Ensure adequate chemicals and consumables are on site at all times
*Ensure cleaning is done as per the master Cleaning Schedule requirements
*Conduct daily cleaning inspections and provide corrective actions for any non-conformances noted
*Complete the staff attendance registers
Site supervisor to take full charge of the above responsibilities in the absence of the site manager on site. In addition to the above, the site supervisor may be assigned any other duties that will enable smooth operations on site
*Disciplinary procedures to be followed to manage staff e.g. issuing of counselling's, first warnings, booking disciplinary hearings etc.


TRAINING
To enable the above duties to be conducted efficiently, training shall be conducted prior to commencement of duties as follows:
*Health and Safety
*Safe Working Practice
*Use of cleaning equipment and machinery on site
*How to clean items on site as per the cleaning procedures
*Chemical usage and dilutions
*Food Safety
*Root cause analysis and corrective actions
*Administration


Salary:
R10, R15,000.00 per month


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Grabouw,

Western Cape:
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)


Experience:


  • Cleaning in a wet plant: 4 years (required)

Shift availability:

  • Night Shift (required)
  • Day Shift (required)
  • Overnight Shift (preferred)
Expected Start Date: 2023/03/01
