The scrap metal payments department in Cape Town currently has a vacancy for a hardworking, dedicated individual to join their team
.

The Scrap Metal Payments Manager's primary responsibility is to provide administrative support and leadership to the scrap metal payments department.
He/she will also be required to:

Manage and oversee the scrap metal payments team in Cape Town
Make sure all payments to suppliers of scrap are processed accurately and timeously
Accurately monitor customer intake
Work closely with and report to the Financial Manager
Liaise with SA Metal scrap buying representatives regarding customer queries, enquiries and pricing
Accurately prepare accruals schedule (scrap payments and advances)
Liaise with other internal departments including finance and production teams
Liaise with customers in a professional manner
Ensure that processes are adhered to and systems are working as they should
Ensure continuous improvement of all members of the department
Ensure that appropriate financial controls are in place and followed
Adhoc duties including verifying time and attendance, drafting, verifying and editing departmental documentation, processing of invoices on an inhouse payment system, ordering stationary on inhouse system

Qualifying Experience:

Matric
Relevant tertiary qualification
At least 35 years' experience in a similar position
Leadership in previous position/s is a significant advantage
Financial and banking knowledge advantageous
Administrative experience essential
Knowledge and understanding of metals commodities advantageous
Computer literate (MS Office)
