    Job Summary

    The Assistant Manager is responsible for protecting and growing profitable market share within a Store in accordance to the Store, Division, and Company strategy.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Develop and implement a Store Business Plan aligned with the overall Company strategy and strategic initiatives.
    2. Assist the Store Manager in achieving growth in market share, sales budgets, and customer loyalty programs.
    3. Manage stock, shrinkage, and asset control within the Store.
    4. Implement and maintain Customer Service strategy, ensuring Customer Audits above 95%.
    5. Ensure compliance with OHSA Act, Store Safety Standards, and Trading Standards.
    6. Manage Human Resource aspects, including recruitment, training, and succession planning.
    7. Lead by example, motivating employees to achieve established outcomes and deliver on commitments.
    8. Drive results-oriented performance, constantly looking for opportunities to improve department performance.
    9. Think strategically, identifying gaps or potential inconsistencies in business results and developing contingency plans.
    10. Solve problems proactively, analysing information objectively and thoroughly.
    11. Makes decisions within framework of company policies and set timelines.
    12. Empower subordinates through one-on-one coaching, development plans, and delegation.
    13. Manage performance, taking accountability for own and subordinate actions and implementing corrective action where required.
    14. Handle pressure well, remaining focused and rational under time/workload pressures.
    15. Generate unique alternatives, options, or solutions to problems.
    16. Manage change effectively, ensuring the department responds to the changing environment and stakeholders' needs and expectations.
    17. Influence others towards a point of view as a leader of the department.
    18. Asture authority, getting one's point across with credibility and self-confidence.
    19. Collaborate and build rapport with internal stakeholders to find solutions to situations leading to conflict and misunderstanding.
