Agricultural Technical and Sales Advisor
Introduction


Eco-Green Plant Health is a South African based company located in Paarl in the Western Cape region of South Africa.

The company was established in 2006 specializing in product development, product formulation, manufacturing and distribution of products specific for the agricultural market.


Main responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for selling the Company's products and services to end user customers.
  • Generate sales revenue and gross profit as per agreed targets and time scales.
  • Source and sell to prospective customers in commercial and consumer sectors.
  • Offer dependable technical support to clients on a variety of crops.
  • Always delivering excellent customer service, through every stage of the customer journey.
  • Managing own workload and prioritise to the needs of the customer and the business.
  • Compile and implement a sales and marketing strategy for the area that focuses on current performance delivery and future growth performance.
  • Manage sales and product forecasts based on sales history and budget.
  • Remain informed on competing products and area strategies.
  • Always reinforce the Company's brand and ethos.
  • Selfgenerated new customers.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with potential and existing customers.
  • Visit clients on site, explain different solution proposals to include products and costings.
  • Keep knowledge up to date regarding products, crops and the industry.
  • Assist MD, Director and/or management team as required.
  • Liaising and assisting colleagues as and when appropriate.
  • Periodically provide accurate, detailed and timely information regarding all prospects and sales activities as requested.
  • Coordinate product training, promotions and marketing in general.
  • Play a leading role in and assist with research and demonstration trials.
  • Assist in the development and identification of niche market products/opportunities.
  • Assist the team with the compilation of technical information to all stakeholders
  • Undertake such other duties as may be required within the general scope of the job.

Person Spesifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Sound intellectual skills in crop production and general agricultural practice.
  • The ability to work as part of the team and develop good working relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Tertiary qualification in Plant, Soil or Agricultural Sciences.
  • AVCASA and BASOS certificates (will be advantageous).
  • Minimum of 3 years' selling within a technical agricultural sector.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work using own initiative.
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and resilient.
  • Willing to travel extensively in designated area (upon request).
Working Hours: 08h00 till 17h00


Remuneration:

  • Industryrelated basic salary dependent on experience
