    Description

    Key Responsibilities

    • Forge Partnerships with Vendors to Deliver High-Quality Products and Services at Optimal Costs.
    • Strategically Manage Prices and Identify Opportunities for Cost Savings Across Product Lines and Services.
    • Optimize the Acquisition, Utilization, and Value Chain of Products and Services to Ensure Maximum Cost Efficiency.
    • Nurture and Maintain Strong Relationships with Internal and External Stakeholders.
    • Effectively Negotiate Contract Terms and Conditions.
    • Proactively Monitor and Manage Vendor Performance in Accordance with Their Contracts.
    • Promote Vendor Compliance and Performance.
    • Provide Direction and Foster a Positive Work Environment.
    • Offer Procurement-Related Support Based On:
      • Serious Reportable Events and Adverse Events.
      • Product Complaints and Service Delivery Issues.
    • Maintain Business Compliance with Preferred Agreements and Keep Management Informed of Progress.
    • Contribute to New Growth Projects as Required.
    • Cultivate Effective Working Relationships with Hospital and Functional Teams.
    • Drive Initiatives to Develop New or Existing Suppliers in Line with the Company's BBEEE Requirements.

    Required Experience & Qualifications

    • Relevant Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, or Other Relevant Clinical Field / Bachelor of Commerce in Supply Chain Management or Equivalent.
    • CIPS Certification (Level 2) Would Be Advantageous.
    • In-Depth Knowledge of Products and Supply Chain Management (Medicines and Surgical Devices) in the Healthcare Industry Would Be Advantageous.
    • Working Experience in a Hospital Environment Would Be Advantageous.
    • Understanding of Management and Relationship Structures within an Operating Environment.
    • Excellent Computer Proficiency, Especially in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Knowledge of SAP Would Be Advantageous.
    • A Valid Driver's License and Own Transportation Are Essential.
