    Description

    At Pollock Associates, we seek a seasoned maintenance leader to drive asset performance and compliance across our operations in Durban.

    The successful candidate will be a hands-on individual with deep technical knowledge and a passion for engineering excellence and regulatory adherence.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies across all branches and terminals.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to site-based Maintenance Managers and mechanical engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical development.
    • Ensure strict adherence to OHSACT regulations and statutory compliance requirements.
    • Oversee the review and monitoring of maintenance budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
    • Cultivate a culture of innovation, championing asset optimisation and team development initiatives.
    • Promote engineering best practices, providing training and support to enhance mechanical competence across sites.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Essential)
    • Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) (Essential)
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in maintenance management post-graduation
    • Background in the petroleum, gas, energy, or chemical sector (Advantageous)
    • South African citizenship (Essential)
    • Residency in Durban or willingness to relocate permanently
