Description

We are seeking a highly capable Materials Manager.

The incumbent will be responsible to head the warehouse and for the overall management of the daily operations of the warehouse within the business whilst effectively and efficiently ensuring that operational activities are executed on time and in accordance with the Service Level Agreement (SLA) conditions and that all administration is completed timeously and accurately.

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain - the core functions of the Material's Manager include managing inventory and purchasing procedures for raw materials and other supplies within the company.

Collaborate with other managers to determine supply needs, purchase supplies and materials according to specifications and coordinate and supervise receiving procedures.

A tertiary qualification in Supply Chain or related is essential.

Previous Supply Chain Management experience having worked within a Manufacturing (FMCG), or related Industry is essential.
Experience in the use of an ERP system and/or WMS. Syspro would be an advantage.
Must understand process development and management.
Excellent problemsolving skills.
Data management skills.
Relationshipbuilding and interpersonal skills.
Creative thinking to help bring products to the market faster.
Technical ability, including a solid understanding of artificial intelligence, analytics software and innovations that can impact the supply chain.
