    We invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for Specialist Repair Loop position, under the Services Department. The position will report to Warranty Manager and is based in Randjespark (Midrand).

    Job Purpose

    To take charge of all the parts dismounted from the trains because of failures and following up on all parts sent to suppliers for repair or change.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Establish the priorities for Internal repairs and communicate them with the Repairs planners to the Workshop.
  • Cover other Purchasing Functions (Supply Chain Coordinator, MRP Controller) when required.
  • Expedite the delivery of repairs from external suppliers ensuring supplier and customer OTIF is achieved.
  • Sharing information on customer needs and master production schedule with key stakeholders at site level (Procurement, Production, ...) in order to prevent, detect and manage potential maintenance issues or advance/delay in delivery.
  • Defining and implementing improvement action plans for dysfunctions on components with reliability histories.
  • Minimum Requirements

  • National Diploma in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical).
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in the railway industry.
  • Good knowledge of SAP/GSI system and configuration management and Industrialization Engineering.
  • Knowledge of configuration management and Industrialization Engineering.
  • Good internal and external communication and capacity to coordinate complex configuration.
  • Special Requirements

    The job involves frequent mobility to clients and several depots.
