Description
Management of staff.

  • Ensuring that all employees are managed on a daytoday basis in line with applicable labour legislation.
  • Attending to employee wellbeing issues and that documented evidence is kept on file where required.
  • Ensuring that all client's needs are met through effective selection and recruitment of staff.
  • Manage and oversee the full end to end process of recruitment up to and including Induction and onboarding.
  • Manage and oversee Industrial Relations in line with legislation and Company Code of Conduct.
  • Manage the investigations related to staff misconduct, absconding, etc.
  • Attending and participating in CCMA hearings.
  • Ensuring that employee problems & grievances are addressed and solved promptly and in a professional manner.
  • Ensure harmonious industrial relations climate on client sites through collaboration with relevant union officials and shop stewards when required.
  • Engage with stakeholders including meetings with Shop stewards and unions.
  • Manage contingency plans to mitigate the risk of unplanned work stoppages through strikes etc.
  • Ensuring that the team adheres to the payroll deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Checking, verification and approval of preextract reports from Payroll.
  • Ensuring that payslips are distributed to employees weekly/monthly (as per payroll frequency).
  • Ensuring that employee payroll queries are resolved timeously.
  • Keep a record of payroll queries and provide reports to Management when required.
  • Responsible for ensuring the integrity of data on the payroll system including the accurate loading of employees onto assignments as well as termination of assignments.

NB:
Logistics or Transportation background will be advantageous.


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Port Shepstone, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
