• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Production or Manufacturing
• Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with automation technologies
• Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans
• Attention to detail and a strong analytical mindset
• Proficiency in problem-solving and making responsible decisions
• Ability to identify critical trends and patterns for process optimization
• Self-driven with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Maintain and optimize automation hardware and software to maximize throughput and quality
  • Ensure staff compliance with productivity standards and provide necessary training and guidance
  • Improve overall equipment efficiency (OEE) through proactive measures and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Optimize the utilization of cooling and de-greening space for efficient operations
  • Coordinate and schedule timely maintenance of machines to minimize downtime and disruptions
  • Identify and optimize data processes to establish a paperless environment and improve information
    flow
  • Facilitate systems integration and drive process improvements to enhance operational
    effectiveness
  • Provide real-time problem-solving support to address operational challenges and minimize delays.
  • Support operational decision-making by analysing relevant data and leveraging the latest
    technology
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product quality and productivity
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation
    within the packhouse operations
