Forklift Driver - Parow, South Africa - CTP Newspapers

CTP Newspapers, a dynamic leader in the printing sector is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Forklift Driver. The Forklift Driver will report to the Production Manager and will be based in Parow, Cape Town.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adhere to health and safety procedures and policies at all times.
• Loading of product within the required turnaround times.
• Ensuring that the correct product is loaded and that it conforms to the necessary quality standards as per the delivery note.
• Stacking raw materials and finished products as per the required floor plan.
• Perform all forklift and operating requirements of the department such as the movement of pallets and reels (not limited to these areas).
• Minor administrative tasks
• Conduct forklift checks and maintenance tasks daily (this is mandatory).
• Adhoc duties assigned by the Production Manager.
• Assist in the mailroom making out delivery notes.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid forklift licence is required.
• Minimum Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent thereof is advantageous.
• Minimum of 12 years' experience working with a forklift driver role within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work under pressure and a proven ability to set and meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with suppliers and contractors.
• Must be able to follow procedures strictly.
• Proven history of reliability, timekeeping and attendance.
• Attention to detail as well as accuracy
• Adhere to health and safety regulations
• Attend all training programmes identified for the position and department is compulsory
• Willing to work shifts (both day, night and weekends) and overtime as and when required.
• Basic computer skills/ Microsoft office.

A market related wage is offered based on experience and skills set
