    The Job

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and mentor an in-house support team
    • Facilitate theoretical and practical solar courses from entry to intermediate level
    • Administer student records in the training room
    • Supervise the solar yard, workshop & solar storeroom
    • Conduct routine maintenance inspections and repairs
    • Assist with procurement of solar training stock
    • Develop and manage stock management systems
    • Develop and manage stock loss prevention systems
    • Produce regular training and technical reports
    • Build strategic partnerships with key industry players
    • Keep abreast of any new or amended laws, rules or regulations about the sector
    • Attend to all technical-related matters and enquiries
    • Assist with reviewing, editing and improving content for the solar courses
    • Provide general support to the Solar Academy Manage

    The Profile

    Requirements:

    • 1-3 years in solar PV training and/or installation
    • Electrical / mechanical engineering qualification (RPL will apply)
    • PV Green Card certification (advantageous)
    • Registration as an Assessor (advantageous)
    • Servant leadership skills
    • Training facilitation skills
    • Workshop supervision skills
    • Project and risk management skills
    • Solar PV mounting, installation and commissioning experience
    • Understanding of SANS Wiring of premises code
    • Understanding of Electrical Installation Regulations
    • Ability to multi-task and work in a changing environment
    • Computer literate
    • Drivers licence
