- 3-4 years of transport experience.
- Level 4 equivalent to Matric.
- Proficient in English.
- Effectively and successfully assist in managing the Operations, ensuring the Warehouse, Fleet and Administration is done effectively and efficiently.
- Assist with supervising offloading, checking and identifying damaged cartons, resealing them and photographing where necessary.
- Ensuring maximum customer satisfaction through fast, friendly and effective customer service.
- Nurture, guide and assist all employees where required in order to maximise productivity and establish a culture that inspires employees to give their best.
- Ensure all deliveries that require a booking are done and the relevant information is captured and reflected.
- Capturing the diesel daily onto the diesel spreadsheet, ensuring there are no problems are irregularities. Reporting any irregularities immediately to the Branch Manager and General Manager.
- Ensure the efficient and effective running of the Fleet, including the servicing and maintenance, and management of fuel consumption. This includes the management of Deliveries and Collections.
- Reporting breakdowns to the Branch Manager, Operations Manager and/or Workshop Manager immediately.
- Control and ensure that board trolleys and other equipment are accounted for.
- Inspect all vehicles under your control on a daily and weekly basis for damage or defects and ensure the cleanliness of the cabs.
- Report any new damage or defects to the Branch Manager and Workshop Manager immediately. You should establish what happened and who was responsible for the damage.
