    Job Title: Grain Operations and Inventory Specialist

    Responsible for managing all aspects of GWK's grain inventory in Durban port warehouses, ensuring compliance with quality and grading standards.

    • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock takes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations, including fumigation and storage practices.
    • Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure adherence to SOPs and maintain a safe working environment.
    • Perform quality assurance and control checks on export products to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
    • Handle quality discrepancies and damaged stock, reporting any issues to senior management.

    Duties also include:

    • Executing grading of import and export loads according to regulations and standards.
    • Fumigating import and export stock as required.
    • Aarranging repacking of damaged goods.
    • Handling insurance claims and investigations of inventory.
    • Sales of damaged product.
    • Ensuring equipment is maintained and calibrated as necessary.

    Key Skills:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Computer literacy.
    • Project management experience.
    • Responsibility, punctuality, conflict management, and good administration skills.

    Salary: R500,000 - R700,000 per annum.
