Site Manager


Start Date:01 April 2023 till 30 September 2023


Reports to:
Managing Director


Job Purpose:


The Construction Site Manager coordinates with Project Manager, studying specifications and construction procedures and exercises functional authority for all scope of works and related construction activities.

Supervise the process with a critical eye, provide input on selecting and hiring contractors, and serve as a liaison between contractors and clients.

Required:
Qualifications


  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • ND(Eng) or B Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Drivers Licence & Own car

Required:
Experience


  • 35 years site project management or management in industrial projects
  • 3 years of plant maintenance or installations work
  • 3 years' experience in Design, Electrical & Project Engineering

Preferred:
Knowledge


  • Project Management certificate

Required:
Knowledge


  • Project management knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office package, CAD and MS Projects
  • FIDIC Contract Management

Ensure that internal stakeholders associated with the project understand and deliver company expectations

That all operations are carried out in accordance with the company management system (including Greenro' s QHSE ISO Portal), policy objectives and statutory and contractual requirements
The implementation of the company management systems for health, safety, the environment and quality
That all work is completed to the Client's satisfaction
Establishing and maintaining working relationships and effective communication with clients and the business


General
Responsible for overseeing all construction activities, ensuring that all works are well planned, and construction materials procured and delivered on time
Responsible for working collaboratively with all sub-contractors to ensure that construction works are carried out in strict adherence to project specifications, time and budget expectations
Developing project scopes and specifications for projects required by clients and ensuring technical feasibility
Co-ordinating, Maintenance and Terminations of MV and LV systems
Measure performance and implement cost saving strategies & report to Management as required
Liaise with Suppliers and management of client relationship
Perform risk management and minimize project risks by making recommendation reports to clients and consultants
Heading procurement of materials for maintenance and installation projects
Heading engineering on the project with respect to design, installations and testing.
Installation and commissioning of generators, transformers and procurement of materials
Updating of electrical drawings based on the changes undertaken during testing/commissioning phase
Making joint and terminations and re-instating breakers & site Commissioning
Ensure the control and configuration of site documentation in accordance with the Drawing Manual.
Ensure generation of all pre commissioning documentation. Lead the commissioning process in accordance with the commissioning plan
Ensure generation and close-out of the Project snag list
Undertake Specific Client Training as required to fulfil role
Creating specifications for generator procurement and installations
