    Actuarial Analyst - Special Projects

    Job Summary

    The Actuarial Analyst will work under general supervision to execute strategic actuarial projects. This role is responsible for development and pricing of strategic products, building and optimizing pricing systems, and process optimization.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and price strategic products and services.
    • Build and optimize pricing and quotation systems in conjunction with the Product, Quotes, and IT Teams.
    • Optimize processes, systems, and tools used by the actuarial division.
    • Support the launch of special projects in cross-functional team settings.
    • Provide support to the Special Projects Actuary in analysis and presentations.
    • Conduct product and market research for strategic initiatives.
    • Perform actuarial duties such as data analysis, modeling, reporting, and documentation.
    • Build and maintain dashboards for actuarial reporting.
    • Provide strategic support to product development and pricing teams.
    • Collaborate with the Investment Team to optimize Liability Driven Investment processes.
    • Respond to actuarial queries in a timely manner.
    • Establish effective relationships with internal stakeholders.
    • Report and assess problem areas effectively.
    • Maintain regulatory compliance.
    • Adhere to company policies and procedures.

    Requirements

    • Actuarial degree or equivalent qualification.
    • Statistics, Mathematics, or Data Science degrees considered.
    • Progress towards actuarial exams (at least 3-5 Technical Actuarial Exams).
    • 2-4 years of experience.
    • Previous life and short-term insurance company valuation or insurance risk management experience an advantage.
