    I&J, a leading fishing company and manufacturer of high quality chilled and frozen foods, is seeking an Occupational Health Nursing Practitioner to join their team in Cape Town Waterfront. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and treating work-related injuries on duty, as well as providing primary health care to all employees.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Examine, diagnose, and treat presenting illnesses and injuries
    • Record accurate and confidential medical information for patients
    • Provide primary health care to all employees within our scope of practice
    • Refer patients to outside agencies or day hospitals for specialist treatment
    • Conduct daily health education sessions with employees
    • Order medications and assist with budget forecasting
    • Conduct medical surveillance programs, including entrance employment medicals and annual medicals
    • Identify and treat infectious diseases that could impact product quality
    • Liaise with the Risk Department regarding injuries on duty

    Requirements:

    • 5 years of experience in an occupational health environment
    • Primary health care experience and exposure to emergency care and emergency drugs
    • Registration with the SA Nursing Council and a valid dispensing license
    • Certificate in Reproductive Health Care and a degree in Occupational Nursing
    • Membership of S.A.S.O.H.N (Society of Occupational Health Nurses)
    • Spirometry/Audiometry qualifications

    Estimated Salary: R800,000 - R1,200,000 per annum
