    We are seeking an Actuarial Analyst for our Terms of Trade Team, reporting to the Head of Experience Analysis and Terms of Trade in the Life Department.

    Munich Reinsurance Company of Africa, established in 1968, serves life and non-life reinsurance clients across Sub-Saharan Africa from its hub in Johannesburg. Working together with global colleagues, we address the world's most pressing challenges.

    This role may be suited for a nearly qualified or fully qualified Actuary who thrives in a team of skilled professionals. You should be able to relate well to people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, and enjoy working with large data sets to derive assumptions.

    Your Role:

    1. Update and maintain all Terms of Trade for MRoA.
    2. Maintain technical competence and adhere to global and local guidelines.
    3. Determine Terms of Trade in collaboration with the regional office.
    4. Support Life Business strategy and risk management.
    5. Communicate with retail and group pricing teams, as well as the valuations team on assumption setting.
    6. Partner with business to provide valuable insights influencing strategy and long-term decision making.

    Your Profile:

    1. TASSA/equivalent actuarial qualification or nearly qualified Actuary status.
    2. At least 2 years' experience deriving assumptions and/or conducting experience studies.
    3. Experience working with complex data in a team environment.
    4. Familiarity with South African life insurance products and market dynamics.
    5. Numerical, statistical, and analytical skills.
    6. Excellent programming skills in actuarial/statistical programming languages.
    7. VBA/Excel expertise.
    8. SQL Server proficiency.
    9. R/Python or relevant software program knowledge.
