Position Overview:


Responsibilities:


  • Carrier Acquisition: Identify, engage, and onboard new carriers to fortify our network and meet the evolving needs of our clientele.
  • Relationship Management: Foster enduring partnerships with existing carriers to cultivate loyalty and encourage repeat business.
  • Negotiation: Skillfully negotiate competitive rates with carriers while upholding profitability for the company.
  • Rate Quoting: Provide precise and timely rate quotations to clients, considering market dynamics, carrier tariffs, and shipment specifications.
  • Contract Management: Draft and negotiate carrier agreements, ensuring alignment with company policies and industry standards.
  • Problem Resolution: Serve as a liaison between carriers and internal teams, swiftly resolving any transportationrelated issues or hurdles.
  • Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry advancements to identify avenues for growth and enhancement.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor carrier performance metrics, including punctuality, responsiveness, and client satisfaction, to uphold service level agreements.
  • Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of carrier contracts, rate agreements, and communications for auditing and reference purposes.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and customer service units to deliver seamless endtoend transportation solutions.

Qualifications:


  • Proven Experience: Minimum of
    2 years in carrier sales or freight brokerage, with a demonstrable track record of achievements.
  • Industry Knowledge: Profound understanding of logistics, encompassing transportation modalities, regulations, and market intricacies.
  • Sales Skills: Proficient negotiation, persuasion, and communication abilities, coupled with adept relationshipbuilding skills.
  • Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical prowess to discern patterns from data, enabling informed decisionmaking.
  • Customer Focus: Dedication to surpassing customer expectations and delivering exceptional service.
  • Organizational Skills: Effective time management and organizational capabilities to thrive in a fastpaced setting.
  • Team Player: A collaborative mindset, with a penchant for achieving collective goals.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
