    Description

    **Job Title:** Financial Insights Analyst

    **Business Segment:** Corporate & Investment Banking

    Located in Johannesburg, our team is seeking a highly skilled Financial Insights Analyst to support the production of regular reporting and insights for business stakeholders.

    About the Role

    We are looking for an individual with expertise in producing high-quality financial reports, conducting analytical reviews, and providing insightful commentary. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of key drivers that influence management decisions within the banking industry.

    The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in financial/statutory accounting, including knowledge of accounting requirements for various types of transactions. They will also have excellent analytical and communication skills to deliver actionable insights to senior leadership and business stakeholders.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Conduct analytical reviews of financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
    • Provide insightful commentary on financial results, highlighting key drivers and implications for future performance.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and accuracy of financial information.

    Requirements

    To be successful in this role, you will need:

    • A Postgraduate degree in Business Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
    • At least 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, and analytics.
    • Strong technical skills in financial/statutory accounting and Excel.
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Certified Accountant (SA) designation is preferred.
