    Description

    Maternity Cover English Teacher

    We are seeking a superstar Maternity Cover English Teacher to teach the Intermediate Phase at our Ormonde Primary school.

    About the Role

    Resident Teachers lead instruction and planning for subject- or grade-level classrooms. They drive a rigorous, enquiry-based learning environment using an innovative approach.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Work closely with learning designers to design impactful lessons
    • Design and deliver engaging enquiry-based lessons supported by technology
    • Observe, coach and model teaching for Apprentice Teachers
    • Infuse joy and passion for learning into lessons to excite students about their academic excellence
    • Set ambitious goals for all students and provide feedback so they internalize it
    • Conduct ongoing assessment of student progress and adjust instructional content accordingly
    • Attend weekly feedback meetings to enhance teaching practices
    • Fully participate in opportunities for professional growth and development
    • Communicate regularly with parents through regular updates
    • Contribute to co-curricular programming and participate in collaborative teams

    About You

    We are looking for someone who:

    • Has a Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed) or a related field
    • Is SACE registered
    • Has experience in teaching English and Mathematics or curriculum knowledge
    • Can lead a classroom independently and work within a team environment

    Additional Requirements

    • Valid Police Clearance
