    Description

    Job Description:

    • Maintain a high standard in introducing new robots to production.
    • Provide robotic support to manufacturing.
    • Develop new grippers and automation for plastic products, utilising current technology to enable local/international competition in line with business plans.
    • Ensure high quality and standards of grippers, processes, and control thereof.
    • Facilitate the design and fabrication of jigs and fixtures specific to robotic processes.
    • Optimise injection moulding robotic settings.
    • Develop work instructions and robotic control sheets.
    • Conduct tool tryouts with robotics.
    • Train and handover robot operations to shop floor personnel.
    • Closing and tracking of robotic-related corrective actions and G8D's.
    • Adhere to project and timing plans in line with project development timing programmes.
    • Meet performance targets in accordance with project and quality timing plans.
    • Ensure robotics comply with process and industrial engineering requirements.
    • Evaluate and ensure that safety requirements for the robotics and systems are met.
    • Manage project implementation and industrialization of new products and technologies.
    • E nsure the safety of all people interacting with automated production facilities and processes.
    • Effectively implement automation for new products from sourcing, costing, and product implementation.
    • Liaise with departments to obtain technical information for implementing changes/projects within timelines.
    • Assess current robotic components and processes for design improvements, process optimisation, and cost reduction.
    • Maintain ancillary equipment associated with robots, ensuring reliable operation within required cycle times and process parameters.
    • E nsure Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment requirements are met throughout robot planning and installation stages.
    • Ongoing process optimisation and improvement initiatives.
    • Continuous improvement in robotics, process, and industrial engineering activities or where support is needed.

    Requirements:

    • Tech nical N5/N6 qualification or instrument technician certification.
    • Advantageous: mechatronics qualifications.
    • Minimum 3 years related experience in robotics programming or similar fields.
