Core Description

Responsible to develop, enhance and manage the SABS 1020, SANS 10378 and NRCS (National Regulator for compulsory specification) regulatory requirements and ensure that BCX Octane has a quality management system in place to ensure compliance.

Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

• Develop and maintain quality management system to ensure that our Lab facilities are compliant.
• Maintain a register of legislative requirements, amend systems in line with any changes.
• Responsible for annual audits of all the regions and draft findings and discuss and oversee corrective measures with the regional leaders.
• Perform monthly ad hoc audits on Verification officer document submissions and facilitate corrective actions. Compile monthly Verification audit report per region.
• Ensure that BCX maintains an accurate register of all Verification Offices and that our NRCS records are 100%.

• Quality Management
• Professional in understanding Fuel dispensing and measuring equipment and the legislative requirement
• Skilled in administration management and audits on various documents and controls
• Skilled understanding of LFD (Liquid Fuel Dispensing) equipment and the RRR (Rebuild, Refurbish and Recondition) process and requirements.
• Technically competent in Fuel storage & dispensing equipment.
• Skilled in operational management of Fuel dispensing process on a service station forecourt.
• Excellent in communicating technical requirements to non-technical individuals
• Skilled in SANAS and regulatory documents and processes IRO SABS 1020 and SANS 10378

Minimum Qualifications

NQF 6: 3 year Degree/ Diploma/ National Diploma in IT/Business/CommerceOR NQF 4: Grade 12

Additional Qualification preferred or advantage

Experience

5 years of experience in managing quality systems, Safety standards and implementing corrective measure. Driving Quality and standards at Fuel Forecourts

Or

If the highest qualification is grade 12, 7 years of experience in managing quality systems, Safety standards and implementing corrective measure. Driving Quality and standards at Fuel Forecourts is required.
