Job Title:
Customer Service Representative (US-Company)
Location:
South Africa (work from home)
Hours:
8 AM to 5 PM US Pacific Time zone
MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN A MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY
Compensation: 20% above your current pay

Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret bill of materials to understand customer needs and requirements
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure ontime delivery of products
- Maintain accurate and uptodate customer records in our CRM system
- Understand and communicate customer needs to internal teams to facilitate product development
- Identify new business opportunities and work with management to develop sales strategies
- Ensure customer satisfaction by promptly addressing and resolving customer concerns
- Responsible for keeping customers up to date on late orders
- Ability to organize through paper and technology
- Process customer open orders reports/reschedule reports
- Process customer expedited requests including push out requests
- Be a liaison for accounting, production, quality, and shipping departments
- Review pricing and process requotes as needed
- Type up new RFQs
- Process RMA's
- Understand a Bill of Materials
- Set up new customer accounts
- Supply customers with final documents specific to a shipment as needed
- Assist with late inbound orders and contacting vendors as needed
- Contact vendors as needed for current price and delivery
- Helps maintain routing guides and directs to appropriate personnel
- Works with logistics administrator for international orders
- Assists with department overflow and projects as needed
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service, inside sales, or a related field, preferably working with American companies in the manufacturing industry
- The ability to provide customer service in a manner that makes the customer feel like they are receiving support from someone located in the US, regardless of the employee's actual location
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highspeed internet and quiet home office environment
- Experience reading and interpreting bill of materials and understanding manufacturing and supply chain
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Strong sense of urgency and commitment to customer satisfaction
- Experience managing other salespeople is preferred
- Must understand that this is a "single contributor" position with no direct reports
- Comfortable working the hours of 8 AM to 5 PM United States Pacific Time
- Strong organizational skills, both in paper and technology
- Experience with ERP software
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Must be willing to work from home
