Description

Insurance Administrator / Personal Lines Underwriter, preferably with the relevant Insurance Industry qualifications (FAIS and RE) and minimum 2 years' experience, required for a Junior Underwriting position with a Brokerage based in Kloof.


Minimum requirements:

  • Matric essential
  • Insurance related qualifications (NQF4, RE, Class of Business, etc) highly advantageous but not essential
  • Strong administrative skills and excellent client service skills essential
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an administrative role essential
  • Personal Lines Underwriting experience highly beneficial

Responsibilities:


  • Identify and meet the insurance requirements of prospective and existing clients
  • Client assessment and issue of policies
  • Policy maintenance
  • Policy renewal
  • Client Service
  • Retentions
  • Managing all aspects of a Personal portfolio
  • Ensure that the insurance requirements of existing clients are identified and met
  • Growing volume of business
  • Learning and understanding a wide variety of personal insurance products
  • Keeping up to date with current legislation and industry trends
  • Proficient in administration
  • Communicating with clients and insurance companies
  • Negotiation skills
  • Retention skills
