    Logistics Coordinator

    We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Zeminwe in Somerset West, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the logistical functions in the supply chain management of fruit exports from packing facilities to international clients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage logistics bookings, shipments, and customer information.
    • Coordinate logistics operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
    • Follow up on shipments and monitor their progress through various stages of the supply chain.
    • Assist with day-to-day logistics management, including arrangements with shipping lines and transporters.
    • Coordinate logistics processes with cold storage facilities.
    • Send loading instructions to depots and track shipments.
    • Prepare shipping orders, invoices, and customs paperwork, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
    • Handle logistics administrative tasks related to bookings and manage data entry, filing, and records maintenance.
    • Assist in resolving billing discrepancies or disputes related to logistics.
    • Stay updated on industry regulations and standards in the fruit export industry.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of booking processes and procedures.
    • Perform stock management duties and provide daily reports to suppliers and receivers.

    Requirements:

    • MATRIC WITH LOGISTICS DEGREE OR SIMILAR QUALIFICATION.
    • Prior experience in logistics, preferably in the fruit export industry.
    • Strong knowledge of export procedures, documentation, and shipping regulations.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in handling bookings and documentation.
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Proficient in computer systems and software, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Problem-solving skills and flexibility to adapt to changing environments.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
