    Role Purpose

    The Digital Product Catalogue Manager is dedicated to enhancing the online shopping experience for customers. This role manages and optimises all facets of the digital product catalogue and enrichment functions to facilitate seamless purchasing decision-making for online customers. This role leverages in-depth product catalogue, enrichment and promotions knowledge and solid ecommerce experience to drive high quality product data and content, manage external partners, and gain strategic influence across systems. This role drives high performance and deliver the product catalogue and enrichment team while also managing external vendors, ensuring high-quality outcomes, whilst collaborating with the digital merchandising and buying teams to meet business objectives.

    Role Description

    Product Catalogue and Enrichment Management

  • Own, manage and execute all aspects of the digital product catalogue function required to enable online purchasing.
  • Drive the implementation of strategies to improve the online purchasing experience through the product catalogue.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance the productivity and effectiveness of the product catalogue function to meet business objectives.
  • Identify and seize opportunities for expansion and execute strategies to realise them.
  • Effectively manage the deal enrichment team to drive accuracy and excitement of all deals and promotions.
  • Manage the supplier enrichment process to ensure smooth and successful onboarding of all supplier product data.
  • Ensure meticulous oversight of product data, maintaining accuracy, consistency, and alignment with the brand.
  • Cultivate engaging and on-brand content within the catalogue.
  • Stakeholder Relationships and Partnerships

  • Manage end-to-end engagements with external enrichment partners, ensuring effective collaboration, quality, output and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Establish efficient ways of working with external partners.
  • Provide domain expertise to influence decision-making related to Product Information Management (PIM) systems, ensuring they meet the needs of the product catalogue team.
  • Drive merchandising prioritisation in line with commercial needs
  • Manage the supplier enrichment process, the successful onboarding of all supplier product data.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve data quality and completeness.
  • Studio Pod Management

  • Manage the Studio Pod (photography and digital asset management).
  • Ensure efficient and organised workflows for creating and managing digital assets.
  • Digital Customer Experience Enhancement

  • Provide recommendations on leveraging product data to enhance the digital customer experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements.
  • People Management

  • Lead and manage the digital product catalogue, enrichment and promotions teams, fostering a collaborative, growth oriented, high-performance culture within the teams.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members and leads to achieve their potential and deliver exceptional results.
  • Partner with the relevant People Partner or teams to drive recruitment, training, and performance discussions within the team.
  • Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in Buying, Marketing, Business, eCommerce, or a related field - (essential).
  • +5 years' experience in product catalogue management, eCommerce, or related roles, with solid experience driving the delivery and availability of product catalogue and enrichment and managing suppliers - (essential).
  • Strong retail experience with a well-developed understanding of product ranges - (essential)
  • Strong leadership and team management experience – (essential)
  • Strong Proficiency in MS Office essential).
  • Experience in Product Data & Content Management Systems - (preferable).

    Communication skills - Communicates effectively with a range of stakeholders; able to convey information and data clearly, accurately, and succinctly in a meaningful way.
