    Job Title:

    Pharmacist Assistant Post Basic

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist Assistant Post Basic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in the role and a Further Education and Training Certificate in Pharmacist Assistance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Interact with customers in a professional manner, maintaining strict confidentiality within Standard Operating Plans (SOPs) and agreed timelines.
    2. Administer scripts and perform day-to-day dispensary administration according to company SOPs.
    3. Accurately handle all profiles worked on, ensuring complete and timely completion.
    4. Engage with healthcare professionals as needed, providing excellent customer service.
    5. Resolve problems and follow up on queries in a timely and efficient manner.

    Duties:

    1. Respond to customer inquiries via telephone or other means regarding medication and healthcare services.
    2. Capture scripts accurately and efficiently at the Central Pharmacy centre.
    3. Address patient queries regarding prescriptions.
    4. Manage patient profiles effectively.
    5. Assist with chronic authorizations as needed.
    6. Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless operations.
    7. Perform ad hoc tasks as required by operational needs.

    Requirements:

    • SAPC and relevant legal knowledge.
    • Sound understanding of the chronic authorization process and procedures.
    • Customer service orientation.
    • Ethical working practices and compliance.

    Skills:

    • Proficient computer skills (MS Office).
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Bilingualism, with English being one of the languages.
    • Ability to work with patients and adapt to various departmental duties.
    • Initiative and problem-solving skills to provide exceptional patient satisfaction.
    • Adaptability and flexibility.
    • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

    Education:

    Further Education and Training Certificate in Pharmacist Assistance is essential.
