Reporting to the regional manager in Richards Bay this is a sale's driven, sales focused role. Maintaining existing customers, sales growth and increasing the market share will be paramount to the success of this role. To represent the interests of John Crane at the customer, while also representing the customer's interests at John Crane


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for achieving the short, medium
- and long-term sales and orders objectives for sales area located in the Kwa-Zulu Natal region.

  • To establish and maintain contracts across the region appropriately for the successful and profitable management of the region.
  • Establish strategic alliances with endusers, cultivating long term commitment and cooperation for mutual benefit and added value.
  • Responsible for implementing the business development plans for sales areas, sales areas in line with the company's strategic direction for the region.
  • Liaise with various technical departments to provide engineered solutions / advice to end users.
  • Prospect for new accounts and establish new John Crane accounts.

The Individual

  • Graduate in any relevant field of education: Mechanical engineers preferred.
  • Minimum 23 years of working experience in Sales.
  • Creative problemsolving skills and ability to work under stress.
  • Excellent planning, project, and timemanagement skills
  • Results driven, both individually and within team
  • Ability to work independently daily and be a strong "team player" within a sales/commercial team Experience in a distinctly customer serviceoriented business.
  • Technically capable, however knowledge of sealing products in the applied areas as Pipes, Food & Beverages, Oil/Gas and petrochemical would be an advantage.
  • High levels of mental toughness and proven abilities to handle complex, fast moving and challenging commercial issues in a robust operating environment.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal & written is essential.
